Nadia DeLane

Nadia DeLane is a visual storyteller, whose mediums include painting, illustration, collage, and installation art. Her design aesthetic honors LatinX expression and her mother's homeland of Panama.

Her works traverse historical and contemporary terrains of color and humanity with wit and visual irony. Through dolls constructed of Caribbean textile, ink drawings of coiffed New York, and collages of bricked urbanity, DeLane emotes the sensual and reflective dimensions of urban life. DeLane was the Artist-in-Residence at the Arte Studio Ginestrelle in Assisi, Italy, where she created a series of poems and illustrations on womanhoods.

For over a decade, DeLane has actively contributed to various artistic communities by co-founding the Visual Muze Residency on Governors Island, A Night with the Arts at Penn State University, and serving as a Digital Media Mentor with Girls Write Now.

DeLane's community-based works have been featured in print and online publications including AI-AP's Design Arts Daily (DART). Her recent work, Memory Opus, exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York.
